Privacy Policy
Data handling when reading and choosing a language.
Static pages
The website serves HTML, locally stored images, CSS and JavaScript. It has no user accounts, contact forms, advertising trackers or externally loaded fonts. The hosting provider may keep technical access logs; their scope and retention depend on the actual hosting configuration.
IP-based language selection
When you open the language-neutral home address, your browser requests https://ipwho.is/?fields=success,country_code. The IPWHOIS provider receives your IP address and connection data needed for that request. The requested response contains a success flag and country code. Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein lead to German; other or unknown countries lead to English. A missing response falls back to English after no more than five seconds. A country does not reliably identify your personal language.
Your manual choice
Clicking DE or EN saves your choice in the browser’s localStorage under hd-picture-language. It takes priority over an IP lookup on later visits to the neutral home address. Pages with an explicit German or English address are not automatically redirected. You can remove the saved choice by clearing this website’s data in your browser.
Search, calculator and external links
Search and the pixel calculator run locally in the browser. Search words can appear in the page address and may enter hosting logs when that address is reloaded. External source links lead to other services with their own privacy practices. Images on this website are loaded locally.
If you email us, your message and sender details are processed through the email providers involved to respond to your enquiry. Contact: info@hd-picture.de. Information about the IP service is available at ipwhois.io/privacy.
